Position Description:

Requirements

• The minimum age requirement is 21 years
• Achieve a positive outcome on a Ryder drug screening
• Ryder mandates that individuals pass both a background examination and a motor vehicle assessment, in addition to providing proof of drug and alcohol testing from previous employers dating back three years
• Take a DOT physical test to ensure compliance with regulations
• Meet the requirements for passing the Ryder road test
• We need to verify that you hold the appropriate CDL and accompanying certifications for this position
• Verifiable background in handling a Class A vehicle such as a tractor-trailer or equivalent transportation unit is a must:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Applicants must have at least two years of experience in the last five years
• Having worked for five years in the most recent decade
• Competence in comprehending and carrying out written and/or verbal directives
• Capability to interpret and adhere to legal guidelines, regulations, and policies effectively

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with the appropriate federal and state laws, regulations, and agency standards is crucial
• Spotting and diminishing safety hazards, while also ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Providing support with the loading and unloading of goods as per customer instructions
• Undertakes supplementary assignments as instructed
