Requirements
- The stipulated age for eligibility is a minimum of 21 years
- Tips for passing a drug test at Ryder
- Ryder mandates that individuals pass both a background examination and a motor vehicle assessment, in addition to providing proof of drug and alcohol testing from previous employers dating back three years
- Get a DOT physical exam for commercial driving purposes
- Successfully complete a road test with Ryder
- Kindly submit the necessary Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any relevant endorsements for this role
- Verifiable background in handling a Class A vehicle such as a tractor-trailer or equivalent transportation unit is a must:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
- Within the previous five years, candidates should possess at least two years of experience
- Demonstrated experience totaling five years within the last ten years
- Aptitude in comprehending and implementing written and/or oral instructions
- Competency in analyzing and executing laws, rules, and guidelines

Responsibilities
- Guaranteeing conformity with the appropriate federal and state laws, regulations, and agency standards is essential
- Finding and mitigating safety hazards, coupled with accurate record-keeping and logging
- Offering assistance with freight loading and unloading tasks if specified by the customer
- Completes additional duties as designated
