Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of tractor-trailers before and after trips and file DOT inspection documentation
• Before making deliveries, ensure to carefully examine bills of lading and store keys to verify their correctness
• Operate large trucks securely to designated locations while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines
• Ensure precise record-keeping of driver logs and delivery paperwork
• Remove items from trailers and transport them directly to customers' locations
• Adhere to all safety regulations and operational protocols set by the company

Qualifications and Experience

• Possessing a legitimate Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Must be a minimum of 21 years old
• A minimum of one year or proof of driving 50,000 miles in a tractor-trailer is required
• Learn about McLane's qualifications for motor vehicle records (MVR) and assessing risk ratings
• Proficiency in English is necessary to ensure adherence to safety and operational regulations
• Safety-conscious, dependable, flexible, and committed attitude towards work is essential
