CDL A Delivery Driver

Job Summary

As a Delivery Driver, your role will be to safely and efficiently transport products, ensuring timely delivery and unloading in accordance with customer needs and company standards.

Roles and Duties:

• Unload products from the trailer using hand carts, in various weather conditions, and place them in designated storage areas according to customer specifications.
• Complete paperwork per company and governmental guidelines, ensuring timely submission of all logs and reports.
• Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain sanitation in the vehicle, warehouse, and yard.
• Provide courteous service, developing good relationships with customers through clear communication.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a driving school may suffice.

Technical Requirement:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe delivery practices.
• Skill in driving long distances, communicating with customers, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently, meet productivity goals, and handle various product types.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in English for communication and record-keeping.

Physical Demand:

• This role involves sitting, talking, and hearing, along with lifting and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling heavier items with a hand cart.

Work Environment:

• This job may expose you to various weather conditions and mechanical parts. An overnight schedule, including weekends and holidays, may be necessary to meet customer demands.
