Requirements
- 21 years of age is the minimum threshold that must be met
- Navigate and pass the drug test requirement for Ryder
- In order to fulfill Ryder's requirements, individuals must undergo a background assessment, motor vehicle check, and provide documentation of drug and alcohol verification conducted by prior employers over a three-year period
- Obtain a medical clearance for the Department of Transportation
- Meet the standards set by Ryder for the road test
- Ensure you have the proper CDL and any mandated endorsements to match the requirements of the position
- Essential requirement includes documented experience operating a tractor-trailer or a similar commercial vehicle with a Class A license:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
- Two years of experience within the last five years is mandatory
- A minimum of half a decade of recent work history over the past decade
- Showing proficiency in executing prescribed written or oral guidance
- Capability to interpret and adhere to legal guidelines, regulations, and policies effectively

Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency directives and standards are followed is crucial
- Recognizing and minimizing safety risks, along with meticulous record-keeping and logging
- Offering support with the loading/unloading of goods as per customer requirements
- Carries out extra tasks as required
