Position Description:

Requirements
- At least 21 years of age is necessary
- Successfully navigate a drug screening at Ryder
- To meet Ryder's requirements, candidates must successfully complete a background verification, motor vehicle check, and demonstrate their drug and alcohol testing history from the last three years with former employers
- Take a DOT physical test to ensure compliance with regulations
- Achieve a passing grade on the Ryder road examination
- Please present the required Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and additional qualifications for the job
- Prior hands-on involvement with driving a tractor-trailer or similar commercial vehicle with a Class A license is essential:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
- A minimum of two years of recent experience is necessary within the past five years
- Five years of hands-on involvement within the past decade
- Proficiency in adhering to prescribed written or spoken directives
- Ability to read and implement laws, regulations, and policies with precision
It is important to acknowledge that supplementary requirements may be essential depending on the location or account circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency directives and standards are followed is crucial
- Detection and mitigation of safety risks, alongside maintaining precise records and logs
- Supporting in the transfer of goods onto or from transportation vehicles as per customer request
- Conducts other tasks as specified
