Requirements
- Individuals must be no younger than 21 years old
- Strategies for passing a drug test specifically for Ryder
- Prospective employees are expected to satisfy Ryder's conditions by passing a background review, motor vehicle verification, and validating drug and alcohol testing results from the preceding three years with former employers
- Pass a medical examination as required by the Department of Transportation
- Obtain a satisfactory result on the Ryder road evaluation
- We need to verify that you hold the appropriate CDL and accompanying certifications for this position
- Prior hands-on involvement with driving a tractor-trailer or similar commercial vehicle with a Class A license is essential:
- In the last three years, a 9-month period of practical involvement
- Two years of experience within the last five years is mandatory
- Having worked for five years in the most recent decade
- Displaying adeptness in following instructions communicated through writing or speech
- Capacity to interpret and enforce laws, regulations, and policies accurately
It is crucial to understand that additional specifications may be mandated based on the location or account being considered.
Responsibilities
- Adhering to the appropriate federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules and standards is a fundamental requirement
- Recognizing and minimizing safety risks, along with meticulous record-keeping and logging
- Providing aid in loading and unloading cargo when requested by the customer
- Handles other duties as tasked
