Class A CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary:

Your primary role will involve safely and efficiently transporting products from our warehouse to various customers. This includes delivering and unloading products per customer invoices and adhering to company standards.

Roles and Duties:

• Unload products from the trailer, using a hand cart or manually, while adhering to all safety protocols, and deliver items to designated storage areas as per customer specifications.
• Complete necessary paperwork as per company and government regulations including logs, inspections, maintenance reports, and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Develop strong relationships with customers by providing courteous and efficient service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school is acceptable as well.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding traffic signs and regulations.

Technical Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, and must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe lifting/delivery practices.
• Skilled in driving under various conditions and effective communication.
• Ability to perform basic math and to organize work independently.

Physical Demand:

Regularly required to lift and move products, navigate in and out of the vehicle, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.

Work Environment:

Includes exposure to varying weather conditions, and requires working overnight, on weekends and holidays, to meet customer needs.
