Minimum qualifications:

• Integrate into an existing team. We are exclusively looking for teams that are already formed, and both members of the team need to apply for this position
• Adept at working with another driver in a sleeper tractor on long-haul trips
• It is mandatory to be at least 21 years of age
• Maintain an active Class A CDL
• Possess knowledge about vehicle safety and control systems
• A background of driving safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations
• Validate a DOT Medical Certification Card or meet the conditions of a company-paid DOT physical assessment
• Prepared to work offsite during a conventional five-day work period
• Accredited for the transportation of risky chemicals, tank vehicles, and multiple trailers

Preferred qualifications:

• Team driving and over-the-road experience are methods that involve a group of drivers taking turns to cover long distances and maximize driving efficiency
• Strong verbal and written communication proficiencies are key for successful coordination with dispatchers and team members
• Efficient in working autonomously and cooperatively as part of a team, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration

Roles:

• Undertake transportation assignments to shuttle goods between XPO locations for pickup and drop off and cooperate with fellow XPO associates
• Plot diverse routes, uphold the safety of CMVs, and abide by transportation regulations
• Operate assorted truck-trailer setups over prolonged distances during a typical five-day work schedule spent away from home
• Drive the vehicle responsibly while observing the safety protocols mandated by the DOT
• Conduct activities related to internal freight transportation using appropriate tools and systems

Requirements:

• Lift items with differing shapes, sizes, and heaviness (commonly up to 50 lbs. and at times exceeding 75 lbs.)
• Safely get in and out of tractor cab/trailer
• Sit for prolonged periods of time while operating a big rig
• Raise (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, turn, squat, and get on your knees
• Conduct the driving tasks of a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 hours straight, under diverse weather conditions, ensuring the safe transportation of all types of cargo
• Proficiently manipulate a mobile tool
