Position Description:

Requirements

• Individuals must be no younger than 21 years old
• Navigate and pass the drug test requirement for Ryder
• As part of the application process with Ryder, applicants must undergo a background check, motor vehicle examination, and present proof of drug and alcohol testing history from the preceding three years with past employers
• Comply with the health standards set by the Department of Transportation
• Fulfill the criteria needed to pass the Ryder road test
• Make certain to possess the correct CDL and endorsements that align with the specifications of the job opening
• Mandatory criteria encompass a proven track record of operating a Class A commercial vehicle like a tractor-trailer or equivalent:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• A minimum of two years of recent experience is necessary within the past five years
• Having worked for five years in the most recent decade
• Showing proficiency in executing prescribed written or oral guidance
• Competence in comprehending, analyzing, and implementing laws, regulations, and policies

Responsibilities

• Adhering to the relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines is necessary
• Detection and mitigation of safety risks, alongside maintaining precise records and logs
• Providing aid in loading and unloading cargo when requested by the customer
• Carries out extra tasks as required
