Class A Regional Truck Driver

Position Description:

Requirements

• Individuals must have reached the age of 21 as a minimum requirement
• Tips for passing a drug test at Ryder
• Prospective employees are expected to satisfy Ryder's conditions by passing a background review, motor vehicle verification, and validating drug and alcohol testing results from the preceding three years with former employers
• Fulfill the DOT physical requirements for driving privileges
• Satisfactorily demonstrate driving abilities during the Ryder road test
• Required documentation includes your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any necessary endorsements for the role
• Mandatory criteria encompass a proven track record of operating a Class A commercial vehicle like a tractor-trailer or equivalent:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Two years of experience within the last five years is mandatory
• A track record of five years of experience within the last ten years
• Proficiency in adhering to prescribed written or spoken directives
• Competency in analyzing and executing laws, rules, and guidelines

Responsibilities

• Making sure that all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, as well as agency rules and guidelines, are being followed is essential
• Discovering and reducing safety risks and maintaining detailed logs and records
• Supporting in the transfer of goods onto or from transportation vehicles as per customer request
• Executes supplemental assignments as directed
