About us
K&B Transportation was founded by Ken Ackerman in Sioux City, IA. The 25 tractor and 85 meat rail trailer operation was responsible for hauling carcass meat from the IBP kill plants to the IBP processing plants.IBP decided to move their carcass meat on their own tram trailers causing K&B to start focusing on moving freight throughout the Greater Midwest. Now a leader in the transportation of perishable food products, we have grown our operation to include over 2,000 pieces of equipment and opened new lanes of travel. In addition, a secondary building was built to house our recruiting, safety/logs, driver classroom and body shop.
