Minimum qualifications:

• Join an already existing team. We are only considering teams that are already established, and both team members must apply for this position
• Skilled in teaming up with another driver in a sleeper trailer for long-distance hauls
• - Being 21 years or older is a requirement
• Have a valid Class A commercial drivers license
• Know the ins and outs of vehicle safety and control systems
• A history of driving without incidents or infractions, showcasing responsibility behind the wheel
• Be in possession of an active DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a DOT physical examination paid for by the organization
• Able to perform job responsibilities outside the primary residence within a Monday to Friday timeframe
• Possessing qualifications for transporting risky substances, tank trucks, and multiple trailers

Preferred qualifications:

• Team driving or over-the-road experience entails a cooperative effort among drivers to travel long distances and ensure the safe operation of a vehicle
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effectively coordinating with dispatchers and team members
• Competent in performing tasks independently and collaboratively within a team context, showing strong teamwork and partnership

Roles:

• Execute transportation tasks conveying items among XPO establishments for both collection and distribution and interact with fellow XPO workers
• Find routes to destinations, prioritize CMV safety, and maintain compliance with transportation rules
• Operate various combinations of tractors and trailers over extended distances during a typical five-day workweek spent away from home
• Adhere to the safety regulations outlined by the Department of Transportation when driving the vehicle
• Engage with essential work tools and systems for executing internal freight transportation duties

Requirements:

• Elevate and handle objects of assorted shapes, dimensions, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.)
• Climb in and out of tractor cab/trailer securely
• Sit for extended periods while driving a semi-truck
• Stretch out (extending above your head), bow, ascend, shove, draw, rotate, hunch, and go down into a squat
• Drive a combination vehicle of a tractor and trailer for a maximum of 11 hours consecutively, in different weather situations, while securely moving various kinds of freight
• Skillfully operate a handheld gadget
