OTR CDL A Truck Driver

Position Description:

Requirements

• The minimum threshold for age is set at 21 years old
• Methods to pass a Ryder drug test
• Ryder enforces the necessity for passing a background inquiry, motor vehicle inspection, and presenting evidence of drug and alcohol screening performed by previous employers over the past three years
• Complete a Department of Transportation physical for licensing requirements
• Meet the requirements for passing the Ryder road test
• Kindly submit the necessary Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any relevant endorsements for this role
• Demonstrated experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle like a tractor-trailer or similar type of transport is required:
• months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Applicants must have at least two years of experience in the last five years
• A track record of five years of experience within the last ten years
• Possessing the skill to comply with written or oral commands effectively
• Proficiency in understanding and applying legal statutes, rules, and protocols

Responsibilities

• Maintaining compliance with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency guidelines is key
• Identifying and minimizing safety hazards while ensuring accurate record-keeping procedures
• Helping with freight loading or unloading duties as required by the customer
• Accomplishes further responsibilities as given
