CDL Truck Driver

Position Description:

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Navigate and pass the drug test requirement for Ryder
• A background check, as well as a motor vehicle screening, are required by Ryder, along with validation of drug and alcohol use from past employers within the last three years
• Comply with the health standards set by the Department of Transportation
• Successfully complete a road test with Ryder
• It is necessary to possess a valid CDL and any essential endorsements to be considered for this position
• Demonstrated experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle like a tractor-trailer or similar type of transport is required:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Within the past five years, a minimum of two years of experience is required
• Accumulated five years of professional experience within the last ten years
• Demonstrating the capacity to adhere to written or verbal directions
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying rules, regulations, and procedures
• It is important to acknowledge that supplementary requirements may be essential depending on the location or account circumstances.

Responsibilities:

• Guaranteeing adherence to relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and agency directives and standards is paramount
• Recognizing and minimizing safety risks, along with meticulous record-keeping and logging
• Helping with loading or unloading cargo, as needed by the client
• Carries out extra tasks as required
