Local CDL A Truck Driver

Job Summary:

As a Delivery Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport products from our warehouse to various customers, ensuring timely delivery and proper unloading of goods according to customer invoices and company standards.

Roles and Duties:

• Unload product from trailer either by hand or using a hand cart, and deliver to designated customer storage areas in all weather conditions.
• Complete all paperwork according to company and governmental guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Adhere to food safety protocols by maintaining appropriate temperatures and preventing cross-contamination during deliveries.
• Build strong relationships with customers through courteous and effective service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Educational Requirement:

• High school diploma/GED/ equivalent degree and 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred, or completion of a tractor-trailer driving school.

Technical Requirement:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting practices.
• Skill in driving long distances and communicating with customers.
• Ability to drive a tractor-trailer unit during day and night, meet productivity standards, and read and communicate in English to interact with the public and manage reports.

Physical Demands:

Associate must frequently lift, push or move products weighing up to 50 pounds by hand and operate a hand cart for heavier loads. Climbing in and out of trucks is required, as well as the ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

Work may involve exposure to various weather conditions, mechanical parts, and may require long hours during nights and weekends to meet customer needs.
