Position Description:

Requirements

• The stipulated age for eligibility is a minimum of 21 years
• Successfully navigate a drug screening at Ryder
• Ryder enforces the necessity for passing a background inquiry, motor vehicle inspection, and presenting evidence of drug and alcohol screening performed by previous employers over the past three years
• Pass a medical examination as required by the Department of Transportation
• Successfully navigate the Ryder road assessment
• Ensure you have the proper CDL and any mandated endorsements to match the requirements of the position
• Necessary qualification involves practical experience driving a Class A vehicle, specifically a tractor-trailer or similar transport:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years,or
• Within the previous five years, candidates should possess at least two years of experience
• Five years of hands-on involvement within the past decade
• Possessing the skill to comply with written or oral commands effectively
• Capacity to interpret and enforce laws, regulations, and policies accurately

Responsibilities

• Complying with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules and standards is vital
• Detection and reduction of safety hazards while accurately documenting and logging information
• Offering assistance with freight loading and unloading tasks if specified by the customer
• Conducts other tasks as specified
